Ashley Rescott’s series makes me feel nostalgic for beach vacations. So often nostalgia is looked down upon because it can make you long for painful things just because you had them. However, I think it is actually a beautiful feeling because it means that even if you lost something or someone, you once had something so beautiful that it’s worth missing. Plus, if you love the wrong thing or person so much, just imagine how much you can love the right one.

The golden hour sunrise light shines beautifully across the model’s skin. This series feels like a refreshing Sunday morning. The lighting is simply stunning. This goes to show that nothing can beat the iridescence of natural light.

From the Photographer | Bex and I met at a local beach before sunrise and watched the sunrise as we started photographing her. I photographed her using a Nikon D7000 with 85 mm 1.8 lens. Mostly natural light, although there are a few using OCF or a reflector.
